Goodnight Chairlift is at the Press!

Hi Backers!
I'm happy to report that Goodnight Chairlift is at the press! Yes! The printing process is underway, and––after taking a look at the HP proofs hot off the press from Korea last week––I can tell you that the book is looking amazing. For a sneak peek, click here. (Swipe for the video.)
As too often happens with big projects and tight timelines, we were challenged with a number of hiccups over the last month. After learning that the printer I'd used for the first two editions of A-B-Skis went out of business, I found myself scrambling to find a new printer that could deliver the same quality. I carefully researched many U.S. print groups, as well as overseas printers, and luckily I found a Korean printing company that I'm really happy with.
Right about the time Nathan and I were finalizing the files for printing, I ended up having a three-day stay in the ICU. (It's a long story, but the important part is I'm okay.) My hospitalization and recovery slowed the production schedule... Then, of course, there were other inevitable last-minute catches and corrections that we had to resolve in the 11th hour. Precious time when you're trying to bring a new book to market before the holidays!
All of that being said, the printing process for Goodnight Chairlift is well underway, and barred any major shipping issues, my understanding is that our original November delivery goal is still possible. You can trust I'll do everything in my power to make sure you get your books in time for holiday gifting! I'll keep you updated as things progress.

Hi Backers!
Goodnight Chairlift has received $7,500 in pre-sales, which means the project has passed the funding threshold for it's first print order! You all are such an important part of this process––without your orders, Goodnight Chairlift would just remain an idea... Instead, it will be going to print in a few short months! Thanks so much for your support.
As many of you know, the inspiration behind Goodnight Chairlift came from my son, who at two years-old got pretty upset that the chairlift had closed for the day. Once my husband and I explained that the chairlift, and everything else at the ski area, has to go to sleep at night, my son took solace in wishing the various things 'goodnight.' (And of course, those nocturnal snowcats quickly became the object of his fascination.) I recently found a video from the actual evening of inspiration, and thought I'd share it. If you do click through, be sure to turn on the sound.
Please continue to share this project with your friends for the remaining three weeks of the campaign. This will be the only time folks will be able to buy Goodnight Chairlift at a discount, and backers will be the first (and potentially only) people to get their hands on the book before Christmas. It's worth getting orders in now!
